This IICRC Applied Structural Drying ASD course is designed to teach the effective, efficient and timely drying of water-damaged structures and contents, using comprehensive classroom and hands-on training, in order to facilitate appropriate decision making within a restorative drying environment. Emphasis will be placed on teaching applied structural drying techniques to individuals who will perform these procedures in the field. Course graduates will be adequately equipped to perform these services, while protecting the health and safety of workers and occupants. The test itself had a couple question that were not related to the course and I believe drying technician is a bit of a crossover into the commercial drying course that makes it confusing but overall it's a course I was happy to take. I enjoyed my class and learned a lot from my instructor, drying technician.

Although drying equipment is widely available covering a broad range of deployments, it is important that in certain cases lateral thinking of what is damaged and how drying regimes can impact businesses and occupants is established at the outset. This approach serves to demonstrate an awareness of all the drying equipment available today and their capabilities. I highly recommend this class.
