A quaint family run bakery based restaurant with a rich long term history of serving Victorians. Breakfast and lunch menu selections are basic but tasty and reasonably priced. The bakery offers a wide range of offerings which will meet every one's needs. A downtown location Friends had extolled the virtues of Dutch Bakery and Diner for some time. When we announced we were gong to Victoria for Valentine's day get away we were advised that we should try it so we did. Really nice staff but even better were the Nice and light, rich but not too sweet. A good variety between sweets and baked rolls , turnovers and pies with meat filling. You can take out or dine inside. Only few minutes walk from our hotel, it was nice to have breakfast like a local. You won't be disappointed. The coffee is good but there are other places in Victoria that serve better. However, the pastry is very fine indeed.

Dutch Style Ham and Eggs 2 slices of toast with ham and 2 eggs served open faced. Fried Ham and Egg with melted processed cheese served on a toasted bun. A refreshing combination of pineapples, pears, peaches, kiwi, oranges and other in season fruits. Crispy chicken breast, 1 slice cheddar cheese, 1 slice Swiss cheese, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers served on a bed of lettuce. A deep fried chicken breast, served with Swiss cheese, onions, lettuce ,tomato and mayonnaise. Sauerkraut, Pastrami and Swiss Cheese served on toasted Multigrain bread. Canadian ham and thinly sliced liver with our choice of regular or hot mustard served on a fresh bun. I have loved going to the Dutch Bakery since , have never had a bad meal there ever. Thank you for always being consistent. Our family has been going to the DB since it opened.
