Audrey Elliott recounts her Ecotrail Valencia experience — she is well ensconsed in the Ecotrail Community now and plans to travel to Copenhagan for the first edititon of Ecotrail there too! We will look forward to that report too. Ecotrail Valencia was my third race in the Ecotrail series. We arrived 2 days before and settled into a nice apartment in the city centre. We were careful to not overdo the sightseeing and opted for a handy e-scooter tour of the city which we booked on Air BnB Experiences. This was a lovely 2 hour session that brought us to the main tourist spots in the city. Race time was 5pm, so it felt like we were waiting around all day to do it.

Hay algunos tramos cortos de asfalto, pero son relativamente insignificantes, excepto en la prueba de 80 km. The most demanding distance of Ecotrail leaves the town of Pedralba in the direction of the city of Valencia along paths of the Park of the Turia River.

Once I saw the sign for mile 12, it was a rejuvenation. I am normally operating with a bit of a sleep deficit so my sleep quality is very good when I am able to catch back up. The group has now trimmed quite a bit to maybe people, including the lead female runner. So you wait, and wait, and yawn, wait, yawn, then by the end it's your time and it hurts a little, but then the procedure is over and you're just happy you're not hurting anymore LOL Anyway, at around km 21 we turn to the right side and I can see the 31K mark on the other side of the road. Stinky must've been immensely satisfying. After half a mile of following her, I really started to get into a good rhythm and was able to slingshot around her on a turn and never saw her again. Mother of Cats. With this result I have finally freed my mind from the marathon. Previous races were earlier in the day. The 6th mile was the only one with a consistent uphill and I was still not looking at my watch but ended up at , still faster than my overall pace. Flavio - nailed it. I heard a few guys right behind me talking about how their next race is Boston so I knew I needed to move a few slots back.

For the race, I had a view with total elapsed time, Lap pace and lap time. Andy - Good report too. That was fairly typical years ago before gels were invented. The thought of running a sub 3 marathon appeared about 3 years ago. I was really amped up and going down the false flat hill, I could see my wife at kids at their water station. Tool to generate Strava weekly. I was meet with smiling faces and a medal presented over my head. Anyway the race finishes with running about m in an athletics track.
