In order to facilitate her campaign against the Church, she took up the disguise of the Flame Emperor, a masked individual conducting terrorist operations against the Church, and made a reluctant alliance with a group known only as " those who slither in the dark ". Her identity as the Flame Emperor was known only by a select few, including an Adrestian general known only as the Death Knight and her loyal vassal Hubert.
