MobileFeed AVS features powerful feeding mechanisms to provide even and secure wire feeding for exceptional reliability and smooth operation in a range of industrial welding applications. MobileFeed is powered off the arc, so only the welding cable is required for basic operation. A quick-change four-roll feed unit provides powerful, dependable wire feeding and quick, tool-less wire changeover. Digital meters for both Voltage and Wire Feed Speed WFS ensure more arc time and are labor-saving for critical welds using specific welding parameters. The MobileFeed AVS features a super impact-resistant, flame retardant case that protects against dirt, metal grit, and moisture, as well as extreme abuse from grinding sparks, corrosive chemicals, and drops. An optional remote control allows voltage to be adjusted away from the power supply, reducing setup time and enabling long welds in difficult-to-reach areas. This new wire feeder has a tachometer-controlled wire speed for better feed speed accuracy and consistency.

Voltage-sensing feeder technology also enables the feeder to work with either CC or CV power sources. The weatherproof feeder has an IP44 protection rating and features a completely sealed wire feed compartment that protects the wire and internal components from water splashes in all directions. The seal also keeps out dirt, grinding dust, and other particles than can damage feeder components or degrade the wire and contaminate the weld pool. The controls, as well as the power and gas cable connections, are protected inside the housing. On the outside, the feeder uses a double-wall design with zones to provide abrasion and impact resistance, while a strain relief removes cable stress.
