There is no way to recharge them, at least in the native game. Fusion cores cannot be recharged at least in the vanilla game and I've not seen a mod for it.

Well I've been thinking about where to get fusion cores across the commonwealth. Besides finding them randomly is there anyway to craft them? Not to my knowledge, but they're common late game among traders. You can find a finite amount of them around the Commonwealth but you can buy infinite amounts of them. Have to buy them to get anywhere with them. Some ammo crates -do- spawn them though. Really need high charisma and the barter perks to get enough of them to run a gatling laser and power armor at the same time. There is a finite amount of them to be looted, but they are sold by some vendors. Well I didn't know you can buy them from traders. Thanks all of you guys. For what it's worth, every review I've read has mentioned a finite number of fusion cores. Add that with the ability to improve the efficiency of power armor and it makes sense. Power armor is pretty OP so it's probably better to have it as a luxury. If it turns into an issue, I'm sure Bethesda will either patch it out, or find a clever way of dealing with it.
