Fazbear Entertainment is excited to join the digital age, and what better way to do that than with an edge-of-your-seat virtual reality experience? The Freddy Fazbear Virtual Experience is a virtual reality game released by Fazbear Entertainment and developed by Silver Parasol Games to make light of the rumors spread about the animatronics. The game, in canon, was released in order to hide the bad press concerning the defacing stories spread by some " complete lunatic " that seems to be the In-game counterpart of Scott Cawthon. Pressing this will take the player back into the Intro Sequence ride which should have played when they first started the game. This is useful for collecting the tape hidden there. The sequence itself features an introductory welcome speech by HandUnit.

It is an anthology of different minigames based on the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise, where the player must complete tasks without being jumpscared by homicidal animatronic characters. The minigames are composed of virtual reality adaptations of the main entries in the series in addition to several new experiences. Hidden inside the levels are coins that allow the player to unlock collectable objects and cassette tapes that provide insight into the game's metafictional plot. Cawthon initially approached Steel Wool Studios to recreate the first game of the franchise in virtual reality. He enjoyed the studio's adaptation, and decided to work with the company to convert all of the previous games in the series. The game received generally positive reviews from critics, who called the game an accessible and tense entry in the franchise, though some found the jumpscares repetitive. A non-VR port to Nintendo Switch received mixed reviews.

This built-for-VR adaptation works as a collection of greatest hits, borrowing and building upon familiar characters, sequences, and lore from the popular point-and-click horror series. With that said, I kinda love it. Rather, this is a bunch of separate modes, all of which are entertaining for different reasons. After keeping your eyes glued to security cam feeds in the bread-and-butter survive-the-night modes that span the events of Five Nights 1 , 2 , 3 , and 4 , you could try to catch your breath with the shorter, more puzzle-oriented offerings. Vent Repair, another side mode, sends you down a spooky elevator shaft and asks you to solve rudimentary hands-on VR puzzles with gears and levers while also keeping tabs on animatronics that can come barreling toward you at any moment from your left, right, or center.
