The Fortnite Fortnitemares event has now begun, bringing us weeks of Halloween-themed challenges, cosmetics, and more to give a spooky twist to the battle royale. In fact, there will be a series of assignments rolled out over the course of the Fortnitemares event, so it's up to you if you work through them as they're revealed or save them up for a big push towards the end. There have been some big changes introduced , so if you want the lowdown on everything then here's what you need to know about the Fortnite Fortnitemares event. The Fortnite Fortnitemares event is a little over three-week event in Fortnite during which limited-time quests and rewards are added to the game, all Halloween themed, along with certain new weapons, enemies, locations and NPCs added to the map. Most of these new map and gameplay additions are featured in the quests in some way, so players will need to find all of the new elements to fully complete the Fortnitemares quests.

Most of these new map and gameplay additions are featured in the quests in some way, so players will need to find all of the new elements to fully complete the Fortnitemares quests. Speaking of which, there will be a lot of Fortnitemares quests for players to complete, but not from the start. Beginning from the start date of October 10, there are a handful quests available - but more will be added during the course of the event. There are also various new and unvaulted weapons making an appearance, including the Wood Stake Shotgun for taking down vampires, the Mythic Thorne's Vampiric Blade if you can take down the boss, the Pumpkin Launcher for dealing explosive damage, and the Witch Broom to travel around the island. Not all the Fortnitemares quests are active and live at time of writing, but as mentioned above they will be gradually added to the game during the event. It's that spooky time of year, which can only mean the return of another Halloween-themed event for Fortnite! Get prepared for spooky Halloween skins in the Item Shop and a new set of limited time in-game event challenges which might just unlock some free cosmetics. Halloween is here! During this year's Fortnitemares event, you can find a whole host of Halloween-themed weapons and even some Unvaulted Candies , each that grant a unique benefit when consumed. On top of all the in-game festivities and fun new Skins emerging in the Item Shop, two sets of Halloween-themed quests are available during the Fortnitemares event. Complete tasks for the Fortnitemares Quests in Battle Royale or Zero Build or check out the Horde Rush mode in Discover and complete unique tasks there to earn special rewards.
