Fusion 360 slicer plugin
I know there have been other posts about the Autodesk pulling the Slicer add-in from the app store, and that they are no longer supporting it. My question is what is everyone using as a replacement?
Fusion Add-in to import the Slices created by Fusion Slicer. It will create solid geometry based on the output DXF directory. You can download Fusion Slicer from the Fusion App store. It slices and converts 3D models into 2D patterns that you can cut out of any flat material. Slicer for Fusion also creates 3D instructions you can interact with, to help build a model. Create a model in Fusion and with a few clicks you can send your model to Slicer for Fusion

You can now slice your 3D prints directly in Fusion, and their slicer actually has a few really nice features. But should you completely switch over to just slicing through Fusion? So the printer config itself defines what the machine is capable of and what its limits are, and that info is needed at the very start of the slicing process, and then the post script, at the very end of it, is basically your gcode output script, that translates the paths that the slicer has created into a file that the printer can read.
