Game of thrones season 4 ep 5
Tommen is crowned King of the Seven Kingdoms.
Cersei notices him exchanging smiles with Margaery and goes over to speak with her. Their talk goes oddly well. Margaery is not exactly convincing when she denies scheming for Tommen but Cersei doesn't seem to care. She thinks Tommen will be the first king in a half century to actually deserve his station. Then we're off to Meereen , where Daenerys is being briefed on the Purple Wedding.

She has already proven herself a dutiful partner, she reminds her intended, as she poisoned Jon Arryn and manipulated the Starks into believing the Lannisters did it. Littlefinger acquiesces and later that night, Sansa is horrified to overhear the noises from her aunt's wedding bed. After she's settled in, Sansa shares a tray of lemon cakes with Lysa. Do not read on unless you have watched season four, episode five which airs in the UK on Sky Atlantic on Monday at 9pm. And, even more than usual, please keep books spoilers to a minimum. Certainly this week felt a little bit like a holding episode in which we dropped in on numerous characters without really advancing the story much. There will be people who find her decision to stay and rule Meereen disappointing — what about that long-planned attack on Westeros? If she turned up and sacked Westeros she might well win the initial battle but could she hold the throne and win the war? Dany has freed thousands of slaves yet many of them are now in chains again while the cities she sacked and left behind are tumbling into lawlessness, violence and despair. Yet this army of one has all but brought a kingdom to its knees: not only was he involved in the poisoning of Joffrey but we learned last night that his were the words that killed a Hand and kicked off a war. So now this one-time brothel owner is Lord of the Vale, high in his impregnable Eyrie with the Stark heiress as his captive in all but name, and his new wife happy to do whatever he commands. My one complaint about this season would be that we seem to be falling into a pattern where we spend 45 minutes hanging out around Westeros before shovelling all the action into the final 15 minutes of the show.

If that sounds like some term-paper nonsense, please bear with me for one second. Ned Stark lost his head two and a half seasons ago, yet the surviving members of his family are still struggling to be decent without getting their asses chopped up. And Tanner had a point. And how about Jon finishing the job, Podrick-style, with the old sword-through-the-back-of-the-head routine? I must say, I found it extremely satisfying to watch Karl Tanner and Locke die within moments of each other, each at the hands of an emboldened Stark boy. In the meantime, we have some revelations to process, courtesy of Lysa. It made sense that the Lannisters would have killed Jon Aryn for those reasons, but now we know that Littlefinger was the one pulling all the strings. By David Canfield.

Big Brother Instinct : Jojen Reed's evil smile at how Karl will die horribly and burn is driven partly by his powers and partly by his desire to protect his big sister from that creep who was planning to rape her. Pedro Pascal Oberyn Martell. Uriah Gambit : Slynt's plan from last episode failed in its primary objective getting Jon Snow killed but has achieved its secondary one: half the volunteers and Locke died during the battle with the mutineers, lowering Jon's potential votes when the time for the election comes.
