Meet the muscle of the Ghost team. Garazeb "Zeb" Orrelios was a cunning Lasat honor guard who adopted the cause of rebellion against the Empire. Despite his hulking frame, Zeb was actually highly-educated and articulate. Both believed in a prophecy that would reveal the location of Lira San, the original and future home of the Lasat. Zeb, hardened through his experience with the Empire and the loss of his people, however, thought this to be a foolish idea. He took part in a Lasat ritual, culminating with an ancient use of his bo-rifle, that led the Ghost to Lira San. The prophecy and the planet were real, and the Lasat had a homeworld once more.

Garazeb "Zeb" Orrelios codename Spectre 4 was a male Lasat. He served as a rebel alongside the crew of the Ghost after his race was almost entirely wiped out by the Empire. Garazeb "Zeb" Orrelios was born and raised on the planet Lasan and served as Captain of the Lasan High Honor Guard , where it was his duty to protect the royal family and assist his people into rising up against the Galactic Empire in its early days as the first species ever to have done so. When the Empire responded to this rebellion by sacking and massacring the Lasats themselves, Zeb, along with the rest of the Honor Guard, helped protect their people. Unfortunately, they were no match for the Empire's assault on the Royal Palace of Lasat, and were finished when a bomb was set off, destroying most of the castle. Zeb managed to survive the endeavor, unlike most of his kind. But because of its ordeal, he grew a gruff demeanor, but has remained loyal to a great deal of sympathy towards the weak, thus earning him a place in the rebel crew of a VCX light freighter called the Ghost by the time he was thirty-nine. After a successful mission in Capital City , Zeb arrived at the wrong rendezvous point, and found himself in a random alley. While lost, he noticed some Stormtroopers harassing a civilian selling Yogen berries. Not wanting to pass up an opportunity to humiliate the Empire, Zeb rescued the frightened Ugnaught then proceeded down the alley, where he came across a famed Imperial TIE Pilot named Valen Rudor. Knocking Rudhor unconscious, Zeb mounted his TIE Fighter , which he used to leap onto incoming Imperial reinforcements and used his Bo-Rifle to finish the last couple troopers off. Rudor reawakened, only to find all his allies defeated. While holding Zeb at gunpoint, he called in even more troopers. Zeb managed to evade their shots, before throwing him off his own fighter. Overwhelmed by the incoming troopers, he sabotaged Rudor's fighter, resulting in an explosion.
Resolving to guide other surviving Lasat to Lira San and regarding his fellow rebels as a family, Zeb returned to the Ghost and shared the news with his rebel comrades, garazeb orrelios.

This article contains spoilers for The Mandalorian season 3, episode 5. Lucasfilm's animated Star Wars Rebels TV show introduced viewers to a rebel cell based on the planet Lothal, who gradually became absorbed into the wider Rebel Alliance. Things were never going to end well for the group, given they were operating before the first Death Star - before the first rebel victory. Other members of the rebel cell continued working in the Rebel Alliance, with their leader Hera Syndulla even taking part in the battle of Endor. One character has been largely a mystery, however; Garazeb "Zeb" Orrelios, a Lasat rebel who played a key role in opposing the Empire on Lothal. He was a highly trained combatant, and he had cultivated a fierce hatred of the Empire given their attempted genocide of his people.

Before they could return to the Ghost , Sabine and Zeb discovered the presence of inactive droidekas. After Hera informed them about the arrival of an Arquitens -class command cruiser , Zeb volunteered to enter the labyrinth in order to reestablish contact with Kanan and Rex's team. He and his fellow rebels were also saddened when they saw that Ahsoka had not come with Ezra and Kanan. Zeb and the other rebels were later present when they picked up AP-5 from space and watched it argue with an apologetic Chopper. As they were leaving Chopper aboard the Ghost , the droid spotted a nearby leg that was the twin to one of his mismatched ones and requested permission to acquire it, but was refused by Hera. Excited to once again see their comrade, they began to joke and jest with him. Ryder joined in, saying that explosives would not be able to disable the gravity locks and offered his help in exchange for getting off of Lothal. After plugging him back into the ship's systems, Hera used Chopper's visual processor to send a message to the Imperial listeners. Having successfully extracted their comrades and Tseebo, the Ghost fled into space, pursued by a force of TIE fighters led by the Grand Inquisitor. They rendezvoused with Kanan and the other rebels as they escaped with Tseebo in a hijacked Imperial Troop Transport pursued by another troop transport piloted by Agent Kallus, who was determining to recover Tseebo and to capture the rebels. Zeb and the others remained behind when Kanan, Ezra, and Ahsoka departed aboard the Phantom for Malachor, and were present when the ship returned carrying only Ezra and a blinded Kanan. Eventually, Zeb and his team reunited and made it to the surface, where they were met by Ryder in a U-Wing, co-piloted by Marida Sumar , which led to the Rebels' escape.

This enabled Sabine to install the hyperdrive on the U-wing. Eventually, Zeb and Kanan cornered the two Inquisitors, who were attempting to flush Ezra out of a ventilation shaft by poking their lightsabers through the ceiling. Zeb and Ezra were soon butting heads and when Ezra made fun of his smell, Zeb dragged him by the legs and threw him into a closet. Under Kanan's orders, he evaded the pursue and was left with the stolen crates, saying he will end Ezra if Kanan caught him. Kalani agreed to their terms. As part of the plan, Sabine and Zeb drove their speeder bikes past the stormtroopers and took control of the anti-aircraft guns there. The rebels then knocked out the remaining droids before making their way into the engine room. Zeb managed to fix the transponder, and adjusted the frequency making it possible for anyone to pick up its signal. Zeb took part in the Battle of Atollon. Back aboard the Ghost , Wren showed them her new work of art, depicting Chopper's prank. Arriving and docking with an Imperial Transport Ship rumored to be holding the Wookies, the rebels had Zeb pose as a hairless Wookiee to fool the Stormtrooper guards.
