P is a fairly common trouble code with the Volkswagen Golf. P is certainly a cause for concern and should be considered a threat to the drivability of your Golf. Fixing P should be considered a high priority. The most common fix for P is to replace the spark plugs, coil packs, or if equipped plug wires. That would determine if it's an injector issue? It has even compression on all 4 cylinders. It only happens only on idle, warm or cold, on cylinder 3, with 1 or 2 misfires on cylinder 1 and 4.
