I was thinking either solider or demo, but not sure. I see that shamans have good bonuses with 2h melee weapons so im not sure if either of those would work well with it… i have previously played with a commando so i kind of remember the class…. Any Mastery can be very good with Shaman. What tqFan said. All of them are good in some way or another but each one is more suited to different damage types, skills or playstyles. Id either want to go full damage melee or some sort of decent damage and decent defense combo. Using 2h melee weapon doesnt bother me. All of them can be made to be decent at damage and defense that is ideally what a successful character should do. Let me ask you some questions to be more specific - are you looking to play a melee, ranged, caster or summoner kind of character? How about dual-wield, sword and shield or 2-handed? Do any skills in Shaman in particular look interesting to you? In terms of damage types, is there a particular one that you tend towards? Shaman without any fancy items works great for Lightning, Bleed or Vitality to give you an idea. My favorite class to combine with Shaman is Soldier.

Hi all, I like guns and simplicity. This is my first play thru and started with Shaman. I liked the idea of guns for range and strong melee 'if needed'. I really want a very simple this play thru as I mess up enough when things are black and white. Takes me Forever Do I need to pick a 2nd class?

Pets require 'pet bonuses' on your gear which is usually mutually exclusive with 'player bonuses' and you only have so many slots for gear. I have come across one skill page but it was of only one of the 2 classes I think it was in Grimtools but I really had no idea how to work it to its potential. Again Thankyou all for your help.
