She makes a brief first appearance in 2 episodes on Dragons: Riders of Berk but later returns as a regular on Dragons: Race to the Edge with a dragon of her own, a Razorwhip named Windshear. She is revealed to be Dagur's long lost sister and Oswald's daughter. She joined the Dragon Riders for a short period of time, before moving permanently to Berserker Island to be her brother's second-in-command. Heather has green eyes which have been described as "dazzling". Long black hair frames her face with a fringe parted on the right side and a side braid placed over her left shoulder. She also seems to wear some kind of dark eyeliner and eye shadow in Dragons: Riders of Berk.

Heather is Dagur's long lost sister and an ally to the dragon riders. Heather is the daughter of Oswald the Agreeable and younger sister to Dagur the Deranged. At a very young age, she was separated from her real family when Dagur set her adrift, and was eventually taken in by a couple who raised her as their own daughter. Heather is first found by Snotlout under a wrecked boat. He quickly alerts the other riders. Heather acts frightened at the first sight of them and tells them that pirates attacked her family's ship, killing her parents and laying siege to her island. While trying to figure out a way to help this new stranger, Hiccup and his father agree to let Heather stay at their house for a few days. That night, however, Astrid notices Heather spying on her and Stormfly, and thus grows suspicious of the newcomer. The only dragon species Heather can't find anything on are Deadly Nadders so she snoops through Hiccup's room for the Book of Dragons to see if there is anything useful on there. When Astrid brings up her pirate story, Heather admits to lying and putting on an act. Heather begins to cry, finally forgiving Dagur, and mourns his death. It's thick. When Hiccup and the others showed up, Heather used her horn to call Windshear back. Heather was a little more flirtatious with Snotlout than the others, most likely because he flirted with her.
