We currently have 12 resident cats of all ages.

Make sure you book in advance , as our cafe is already proving very popular and seats will fill quickly. We are always happy to hear from anyone interested in volunteering; we offer a variety of roles. For more information please get in touch. We believe that cats are very therapeutic and want to share this experience with you. The owner of The Cosy Cat Cafe has 40 plus years experience in cat rescue. We will offer advice on adopting cats in rescue and provide you with information on local rescues and cat charities. Bookings are essential , so please make sure you book well in advance.

The quirky eatery opened in William Street in June before moving to its current High Street premises a few years later, and even hosted a wedding earlier this year. It offers what it describes as a "therapeutic dining experience" for cat-lovers, who can enjoy a meal while spending time with the furry felines.

Given his dementia and overall old age, he prefers to be on his own hence why he is now retired to live with the owner happily.

The cafe is one of the only plces in Kent where you can have tea while cuddling kittens. It is the permanent residence of ten rescue cats which owners adopted from Cats in Crisis in Thanet. Visitors are given lots of information on taking care of cats as well as the opportunity to adopt their own fluffy friend from the charity.
