But Georgetown is never as busy and bustling as Singapore. A five-minute taxi ride brought me to the hotel and I was just grateful to be able to talk to a hotel receptionist who was able to speak good English - and intuitive for a change. The staff were happy to change the room I had reserved as I preferred a room with twin beds rather than a room with a double bed. I loved the generous space the suite had. The bath room was great, as expected, but I was really taken by the generous view of the sea. I kept the windows open to get a sound of the sea in the evening.
