This is where it gets tough: you need to keep the marionettes and minireenas from killing you by tightening the spring lock bolts on the right and left sides. When they go red, the locks are about to break and you need to tighten them immediately. You will lose track of the number of times this happens. The locks are fully tightened when the white dot is all the way at the top-center point. This makes for a tense back and forth where you have to decide when to wiggle and when to tighten based on how far an enemy has gotten up the sides. You have to work very fast to tighten the locks. You just have to shake loose the ones crawling up on the left and right sides.

Rather than starting in the Elevator, the player starts inside a springlock suit, aimed to keep the springs wound while fending off the Minireenas. On Night 4, after witnessing Ballora getting scooped, Baby then opens the faceplates, the ten springlocks will begin to unwind and the night's challenge will begin. The player must click and hold each springlock to wind them back up as far as the 12 o'clock position. A warning light will begin to flash on a springlock should it pass the 6 o'clock position. At the same time, Minireenas will climb up either side of the suit and must be shaken off using the A and D keys. Each shake will result in the springlocks unwinding by an amount, so shaking must be done sparingly. Other Minireenas will begin climbing into the suit from the middle as the night goes on. However, these are harmless and only serve as a reason for the springlocks to unwind faster. The player must keep this process up for a total of three real-time minutes to survive the night. Failing to shake off a Minireena from the side or allowing a springlock to make a full circle back to 12 o'clock will result in a Minireena jumpscare. It is highly suggested that before beginning the challenge, the player sets an external three-minute timer to track how close to the end of the night they are, starting it as soon as the springlocks activate. Begin the challenge by winding a springlock, preferably a corner one, all the way and continue winding the rest in a clockwise or counterclockwise fashion. The player should continue in this order to the best of their ability as the night progresses. Once Minireenas begin to climb up, wait until one is on each side before shaking them off. This optimizes the player's shakes which will help stave off springlock failure.
You've been warned- the general idea is: if you think wiggling will give you a dial gameover, that is the time, not to do it. This is most likely to happen if Ennard reaches the door by am as sometimes he will hang outside the door without moving. There are way to may red ones and if you wiggle when there are to many red ones, you die.

It will take a few tries, but when you get down the groove of tightening on one side, shifting to the other, and shaking just before the kill screen, you will eventually pass this insanely hard FNAF Sister Location night 4 puzzle! If you want, you can always just cheat and skip the level.

At least until you get up to Night 4 and realize that Scott Cawthon had absolutely no plans of letting you off easily. The only way to keep alive is to shake them off while also keeping the 10 springlocks located around the mask wound up. This is done by holding down the left mouse-button over them.

Hey thanks for this guide, i was doing everything correctly but the only thing no guide covered is the fact that ALL locks have to be winded, usually at around 20 seconds left id only wind 6 locks ignoring the rest and focusing on the minireenas. By the end of the night, all of your locks will be close to 12 o'clock and flashing red, with a minireena climber at the top right of the screen, with the screen fading out to black if you did it correctly. I just tested night 4 with the new difficulty, and in 3 attempts I beat it twice, only failing on the first. Some kinda hardware malfunction. Not by me. This resulted in a win. Failing to shake off a Minireena from the side or allowing a springlock to make a full circle back to 12 o'clock will result in a Minireena jumpscare. You want to press A or D the fewest times, as each press advances the dials randomly.
