How to fight voidling
Risk of Rain 2 received its Survivors of the Void DLC last week, introducing dozens of new items, enemies, and two new Survivors, but it also added a new area called the Planetarium. As players progress throughout Risk of Rain 2 , new world events and enemies spawn throughout randomly generated levels. While most new levels provide unique aesthetics, the Planetarium is a cherished destination for players wishing to unlock hidden features in the DLC. While Survivors of the Void offers plenty of new content for players, the Planetarium stands in the way of unlocking and encountering several new characters, enemies, and activities. Risk of Rain 2 is a multiplayer roguelike game that follows a stranded crew escaping a hostile alien planet. Players can choose from a selection of fourteen Survivors, with a fifteenth unlocking if players accomplish and acquire special items within each run. Items, enemies, and levels are randomized with each run, making each session a unique adventure. Additionally, players can access several hidden areas by defeating special enemies and activating Shrines hidden throughout the levels. While these requirements may not always be obvious, the game has been out long enough to create a coherent guide for most players. The Planetarium is one such location that players may need assistance accessing and completing. Related: Roguelike vs. Roguelite: What's the Difference? Now that Hopoo Games released Risk of Rain 2 's Survivors of the Void expansion, players can finally access new content to revitalize the game. The biggest additions are two new Survivor characters: the Railgunner and the Void Fiend.
Massive skeletons and pools of tar are littered around, and a towering aqueduct pouring down tar dominates the area. Its not difficult at all, fire or no fire.
The Voidling is an alternate final boss in Risk of Rain 2, added in the Survivors of the Void expansion. It is only available if the DLC is enabled when starting a run. Click for more info. It is inhabited primarily by the Voidling, the guard of the Planetarium or potentially the controller of the Void itself. The battle with the Voidling has 3 phases, largely similar to one another, with the Voidling having three starting attacks and gaining one extra attack per phase. The Voidling will first appear once the player makes their way from the starting platform to the center ring of the Planetarium, attacking from the far side of the ring. It slowly walks around the ring throughout the fight.

Risk of Rain 2 's Survivors of the Void DLC offers new locations, items, and enemies to increase your run potential as well as the challenge, with a special boss providing a secret ending and an even tougher battle than Mithrix with the Voidling. The road to fighting Voidling is not easy. Even if you make it there alive, its powerful attacks and unique boss arena will have you coming back run after run, struggling to end that third phase. Although, there are a handful of tricks that will ensure you don't get stuck in an endless loop. Because of the massive size of Voidling and the shape of its spider-like body, there is more often than not ample room beneath its main body to set up shop during each phase. You can place Warbanners, Captain's special skill, or Engineer turrets here as they won't walk away while you are there. They are easier to dodge with the right utility skill, and Voidling will sometimes not squat all the way down during Sweeping Beam, leaving you plenty of room to hide. Some survivors are better suited for long runs, collecting drones, or sweeping hordes of low-health enemies.

On an average Risk of Rain 2 run, players usually complete five unique stages and pass through their teleporters to access Pelagio V's moon. I dunno, the spiders in the original game were pretty annoying too: in fact much more so in my opinion. The Voidling rotates for 8 seconds, effectively rotating two full times and the beam aims progressively lower as the Voidling rotates. If you find it difficult to reach the third or even second phase, no matter what combination of items you find, consider practicing on lower difficulties. The latest Risk of Rain 2 DLC named Survivors of the Void has undoubtedly made things more challenging, and now each player needs to learn about the new items, bosses, locations, and whatnot. But these challenges have certainly revamped the game a bit and made it more enjoyable. This survivor is an eldritch mutant capable of taking advantage of the Void as the weapon.
With a 4 party group, it is very easy once you get it down, as you have plenty of choices to buff him. Finish them with throwing dagger usable every turn - won't get hit by them exploding. Just get the execute talent and teleport a clump of them together then it gets way too easy.
