I am trying to add the Home Assistant intergration but it causes an Error. I receive the following " Internal server error, please try later". Is it a Remote problem or Home Assistant problem? Still no joy connecting to the Home Assistant intergration. I am still getting the error message " Internal server error, please try later". I remember a while back I had a problem connecting an old tablet to my Home Assistant using the Local address.

HA is currently installed on a Windows 11 machine via Virtual Box. CLI boots up fine and I can run commands without issue. I can ping the IP on the local server, from another computer, and even via WiFi connected to the same network on a third PC. When trying to use that IP or the homeassistant. Observer works, but the login page does not. Imgur: The magic of the Internet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. VB introduces additional complexity, and much like when you do this in Docker there are things that need to be done a certain way for anything to work. Make sure that the firewall is disabled for your specific network type. If you are not using the Windows firewall, then be aware that when you disable the third party firewall you are using, that the Windows firewall might be enabled then. Same issue persists. I did go into advanced firewall settings and create a rule to allow all traffic through and no luck. What browser are you using?
Thank you! Firefox will allow you to over ride the https versus http.
New to HA and just got hold of this week a HA green but cannot connect to it. Ok we have successful ping when you hit it with your favorite browser what is the exact error access denied, connection refused? I also need the IPv4 configuration from your machinem you said Edge so Windows, that command is ipconfig from the windows command prompt - We dont need everything there just the network interface you believe is on the same network as the green. Well figured it out. The other thing to check is is your router handing out all the right stuff particularly DNS server.
There are two Home Assistant versions that you can install on a regular Linux distro. You can either install the supervised version or choose the non-supervised version of Home Assistant, based on your requirements and experience with Linux. While non-supervised installation is quick and easy, the supervised version requires several additional steps. But if you want to experience the full power of Home Assistant on Ubuntu or Debian, you must go for the supervised version. Let's see how you can set up a Supervised Home Assistant server on Ubuntu. To install and set up Home Assistant Supervised, you first need to install Ubuntu on your computer. You can use an old PC or preferably a laptop as it consumes a lot less power. Once Ubuntu is installed, follow the below steps to install and configure Home Assistant Supervised. If you are not an advanced user or someone not familiar with Linux, you should avoid this as it requires experience with Linux, Docker, containers, and networking.

Hello, I have an issue to connect to HA. It was somehow tied to duckdns that i had set up previously. Tried via IP and the homeassistant. The curious thing is that I did nothing for the issue to apear, the server was untouched. What browser are you using? The other thing to check is is your router handing out all the right stuff particularly DNS server. Might be worth considering the DuckDNS add-on as well, once you get it sorted. That works fine. I had tried to connect with homeassistant. And was able to get it running right away. Ignore the rest of this procedure. BobDubery Bob Dubery August 7, , pm

CLI not starting on new install. I went into Chromium and set the search engine to Google. Hello, I have an issue to connect to HA. Since Edge is built on Chrome that will also fail. BobDubery Bob Dubery August 7, , pm Same result as above. I did it using this yours might be different. As reported, I can ping it, but any sort of connection attempt fails. Not trying to rush you or anything but do you have an ETA? I had the same problem. Result : You now see the welcome screen. Now when I type in the browser the IP to access home assistant I can ping homeassist. I wonder if its possible that the wifi is just making it take so many hours to onboard.
