It features rooms, all equipped with large flat-screen TVs with on-demand movies, pull-out sofas, and balconies. The deep blue accent walls give rooms a smart, contemporary look, but decor is generic with few Hawaiian touches, and some rooms are small. Property highlights include a small pool surrounded by a large sun deck with plenty of seating and shaded areas; several casual dining options, and a fitness center with high-end equipment. But those who want a beachfront location might want to compare prices at the nearby Marriott Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa. On the quieter, eastern end of Waikiki, the Hyatt Place sits near some of the smaller hotels in the area, such Hotel Renew. Most of Waikiki's shopping malls and its iconic hotels, like the Moana Surfrider and the Royal Hawaiian , are a five- to minute walk west, and there's a feeling, for better or for worse, that the hotel is just on the border of where the action starts. The property is a couple of blocks from Waikiki's main drag, Kalakaua Avenue, a touristy, mile-long stretch of shops, restaurants, and high-rise hotels that runs along Waikiki Beach on Oahu's southeast coast. Kalakaua offers a curious blend of mainland creature comforts and local flavor.

This sounds expansive but this price is pretty common in Waikiki. That includes every room, the gym, the pool, lobby, and more. In fact, the breakfast sandwiches would probably make most McDonalds or other fast food breakfast sandwiches look good. You feel the Aloha when you check in and throughout your entire stay. Offerings may vary from day to day. They do plan on adding more outlets in the future when the order comes in. The stay at the HRWB will be quite different as the property itself is so different.
