Stephen King is well-known for not always sticking the landings as they say. It is probably a big part of that. The film makes fun of that as well teasing writer Bill that no one likes his endings. Overall I have to say I enjoyed the film. Lots of positives.

It Chapter Two is now terrifying audiences worldwide, but we really should have been better prepared for one of its major moments. A rewatch of the horror sequel's trailers reveal that they were spoiling something big in plain sight. Sure, all trailers technically spoil stuff when you know the context, it's just that in this case it's quite blatant. But in case you're still completely spoiler-free, don't read on as spoilers await. So, the Losers might emerge victorious against Pennywise in the movie's final battle, but not without cost. Eddie James Ransone was killed after Pennywise as a giant spider, naturally impaled him. It's a massive gut punch, especially because of how Richie Bill Hader reacts to it, although we should have known that Eddie wouldn't last to the end. Instead, look back at the first trailer and in the montage of shots at the end, there's a very telling shot that's taken from near the end of the movie. Sure, Eddie might have just popped into the shop, but given the whole idea was for the Losers to come back to Derry to defeat Pennywise together and every other group shot has Eddie in it, then alarms bells should have been ringing for any Eddie fans.
Before she can say what happened, Bev knows that Stanley was found in a bathtub, and the other guys figure what happened to him.

The local Natives performed a ritual using a mystical jar to try and trap it by sacrificing personal artifacts of great value, which is why the entire middle part of the movie follows each individual Loser on a trip down memory lane to retrieve something of sentimental value. This silly plan is abandoned almost immediately in favor of an alternate idea: They realize that by verbally abusing Pennywise, they can bully It into transforming into a meek little clown made of pudding. His twisted rationale works in the end because they do defeat It, and he leaves heartfelt letters to all his friends.

But I can confidently say that I did not, in a million years, predict that a group of world-class actors viciously screaming " clown! Yes, after two massive blockbusters, the Losers Club finally emerged from the drainpipes of Derry triumphant by negging Pennywise to death. Okay, there's more to it than that, a lot more, but it's all jumbled up in failed plans, confused plotting, erratic pacing, and a couple of genuinely heartbreaking performances; the ending of IT Chapter Two is a loud, beautiful, sloppy clusterfuck that is thrilling but doesn't quite work, coming at the tail-end of a movie that is a

In the book, King emphasizes that the power of belief is the only thing that gives the Losers a fighting chance against It. They ask Bev how she knew how Stanley died, and she says she has seen how they all die, as she was the only one who saw the Deadlights when Pennywise captured her. It prequel Welcome to Derry unveils release window. By retracing their steps, the surviving Losers are able to make it out of the Neibolt house just in time to avoid getting trapped forever.
