This alpha numeric identification number is a prerequisite to entering an ITF junior event anywhere in the world. The ITF Junior Circuit is the premier level for worldwide competition among under junior tennis players. Since its creation it has been the beginning of many successful careers. Beginning in , the rankings were combined and a single champion in both boys' and girls' competition was recognized.
