I read the book back in the first year of my blogging career you can see my feeble thoughts here , and like many readers, I struggled through certain sections, making me wish I had a friendly guide to lead me through the linguistic minefields the writer had set for me. But what does it actually do? This allows us to see just how long the writer was actually at work on the novel in question.
