He's tried to hang on, but the worlds gone. The Pre-Crisis Jason was a standard plucky sidekick, but the revamped version was more rebellious to reflect s youth culture, the kind Frank Miller had lampooned in The Dark Knight Returns. After he puts his guns away he asks the "stubborn kid" who opened his eyes to tell him his name and sometime after that Tim became Jason's sidekick, who does by Batkid than Robin. Five years later he is back and wants to take back what's rightfully his. After botching an assignment, he was killed by the super-villain. The clown hands Tim a gun to shoot the downed Batman. They took my little sister. Instead of his hand closing around the phone, he heard the thud of it hitting his hardwood floors. When Jason first came back to life, he was a full-blown villain for the Bat-Family and this led to him fighting Tim several times.
