Many people know certain Yugioh cards from back in the day when they watched the anime. The Trap-hating cyborg made his first appearance in a duel against a character called Espa Roba and after losing the match to Joey , he gave him the card as the ante. Disclaimer: None of the information given by me is set in stone. Infinite Impermanence is the most popular trap in the game arguably and with its ability to be played from the hand makes Jinzo even better in working against it. A simple, easy boss monster to use. Was amazing back then, still holds power years upon years later. Jinzo prevents Trap Cards and their effects from being activated on field and all Trap effects on field are negated. Konami has made up for that by releasing some strong Traps in return, but even then some Decks are giving up Traps to go for combo cards to make their plays. That and you got support behind this now to help get to it. Simple yet effective. Jinzo was a card, and still to a degree continues to be, a card that depends on the Format. But Jinzo is still a one tribute attacker. Dark is always in favor, and Machine has an unhealthy amount of support these days.

Joey Wheeler later won it off him and used it in many of his Duels. In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX , Jinzo appears as a Duel Monster Spirit awakened by the school's occult club, seeking souls so he may exist in the human world. The main objective of this deck is to summon "Jinzo" to lock your opponent's Traps, with "Jinzo - Jector" being the best way to do it, either by using its own effect or by Special Summoning it with a card like " Summoner Monk " and then using " Inferno Reckless Summon ". More recent support helps drastically, as now "Jinzo" itself can be summoned much more easily, and the addition of " Jinzo the Machine Menace " now allows one to utilize Rank 6 Xyz Monsters as it reduces its own Level when Special Summoned via its effect, as long as there is a Trap on the field or in the GY. This helps with summoning " Jinzo - Layered ", which can steal opposing monsters and Tribute them to destroy cards if a Trap is present. Meanwhile, " Psychic Bounder " is able to search any copies of "Jinzo" or a card listing the name in its text. As the archetype has the effect that negates Traps, " Double Snare " can potentially take them out of the field.
