Jonathan Kegges. About Me. I am originally from a town called Penn Hills, just outside of the great city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I attended Penn Hills Senior High School, graduating in where I was very active in my extracurricular activities. I was a part of the schools cross country and track teams as well as a member of the National Honor Society. During my remaining free time I was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, achieving Eagle Scout, scouting's highest rank after the planning and completing of a community service project as well as the necessary requirements. I was also highly active with my church. In college, attending The Pennsylvania State University I am a part of the Campus Weather Service, the largest student run forecasting organization where we forecast and put out products for the university. I now serve as a shift manager for the campus weather service video branch, relaying my knowledge of communicating the weather in front of the green screen to younger members of the organization. I also am a part of Palestra. A college student run website that provides news, sports, entertainment and weather. I have the oppurtunity of providing a short video forecast for the site. During the school year I participate in Wxchallenge. Wxchallenge is a national forecast competition between meteorology students from universities across the country.
