Two regional movies having the same script, dialogue, costumes and scenes…what do you expect? One is good cinema and another is the result of what one should not do while remaking a certain piece of creation! I have watched both and I am little disappointed by the choices of characters for the movie….!! I have a feeling the DVD of Jab We Met has been played so many times to the Hero and Heroine that they have not been able to portray the character as they would have seen and would have liked to play. The Hindi version was so lively and made you relate to the characters that are being played but in Tamil we could just patronize with the characters…. I decided to watch this movie for the story and see what this outcome is going to be…I was not critical when I sat to watch the movie but when the movie started to roll…. I wondered I did a mistake to watch it and the Hindi version is much much better……. Though they tried to copy everything from the movie right from the costume to the scenes and the various places and set-ups…I am wondering why did they not copy the last lip-locking scene of the movie? It was just used in Hindi film because the hero and heroine was having a flare of romance in their real-life too or the industry of Tamil cinema has confined the lip-locks ventured only to the elite cinema members such as Kamalhassan and others? The music of the Hindi version also did wonders to the movie…there is one song in the Tamil version that is worthy of speaking but for the pronunciation of the non-Tamil speaking singer makes it a little difficult to bear with. The introduction of a comedy track in the Tamil version of the movie comes as a relief when you watch the movie…maybe if I had not seen the movie in Hindi version would have liked what was being shown…but will that be true?! I rate the movie as not bad but can be watched once…maybe not true this movie would have been interesting if I had not seen the original…and I vote the original as the Best! I guess it is veryyyyy difficult to separate the original movie from your mind when you are watching the remake and being completely unbiased through-out.. I have never been able to do this.. I think it is almost impossible not to compare with the best you have experienced with the one you are currently enjoyed..

But i watched jab we met several times. I rate the movie as kanden kadhalai in hindi bad but can be watched once…maybe not true this movie would have been interesting if I had not seen the original…and I vote the original as the Best!
