The Kawasaki ZSX is a clever, considered and very worthwhile update of an already excellent machine. Simply put, Kawasaki has made an already great bike even classier. Conceived to fit between the naked Z and the track-focused ZXR, the ZSX is an almost perfect mongrel — delivering much of the excitement and character of the Z, performance of the ZXR yet all in a more comfortable, upright and practical package. The revisions to the mirrors, seat, panniers and even induction noise all mount up to make this a vastly improved machine. They have accomplished their goal. The motor feels fresher and the addition of traction control and power modes brings a missing level of sophistication to an already excellent experience as well as peace of mind in the wet.
