The motive for selecting this study as the research topic is the absence of a comparative study focusing on the regional differences in the Turkish Cypriot dialects. There is a need for a detailed description of the Turkish Cypriot dialects which will lead to a dialectal atlas specifying the aforementioned dialects before they dissapear in time. In the Introduction chapter, historical information on the Cypriot Turkish dialectal characteristics was provided. In the analysis section, dialectal qualities of the aforementioned 11 regions were compared in terms of phonology, morphology, word existence and syntax and the existing differences among these dialects were pointed out. In the word existence chapter, examples differentiating Cypriot Turkish dialects from Turkish spoken in Turkey were provided and samples on the different designations used for the same concepts in 11 regions were given. These samples were also listed in the glossary section which provides comparative examples. In this dictionary, the usage of each word according to each area was explained, the general use was indicated in square brackets and the place it is used has been indicated in round brackets, also referring to the general usage. In the maps section, different maps providing information on the differences in specific sounds, structures and word existence of the 11 regions are presented. In the findings section, based on the results obtained from the research, Turkish Cypriot dialects have been categorised into three primary dialectal groups and secondary dialectal groups were tried to be specified. Considering the ethnical structure of the Turkish Cypriot Community, Turkish Cypriot dialects are found to be very diverse and complicated.
