This is Thesecret I am an admin of this site. Edit as much as you wish, but one little thing If you are going to edit a lot, then make yourself a user and login. Other than that, enjoy Villains Wiki!!! L-Cluster Nanites are a group of nano machines apart of the videogame Stellaris. They were created by an unknown civilization several thousand years ago and have been trapped in an L-Gate for unknown reasons despite what some of them might say. They can take several forms and dependent on chance and player choice they can either be a notable ally or a severe threat even topping the Mid-Game Crisis known as the Great Khan. There are several appearances of which these nano machines can take and are discussed in detail below. The Grey Tempest also called the Naar-Di-Shav is the most common and only objectively evil form of these nanites. It will consume entire planets or civilizations over the course of just a few years and must be stopped ASAP. Unlike the Great Khan diplomacy is impossible with this pack of blood-thirsty nanites the only way to stop the swarm is to either go into the heart of the L-cluster and destroy the Nanite Factory or close every L-Gate connecting to the cluster.

Would be nice to have a option for L-gate outcome. Meanwhile I had Great Khan suddenly showing up

The L-Cluster is a cluster of stars located north-east of the galaxy and entirely inaccessible through the regular hyperlane network, experimental subspace navigation, or jump drives. If a ringworld is built inside the L-Cluster, the uninhabitable sections may gain Nanites deposits. What else will be found in the L-Cluster is randomized at the start of the game; as such, reloading a previous save before accessing will not alter the result. The L-Cluster can be enabled or disabled in the galaxy settings. Some Black Hole systems are home to L-Gates; these heavily modified gateways cannot be activated with the Gateway Activation technology. Once an empire acquires 5 L-Gate Insights, all other empires will be notified.

One of the best additions to Stellaris was changing the galaxy's political, territorial and economic landscape is the introduction of the L-Cluster. Introduced as a huge part of the Distant Stars story DLC, the L-Cluster is a large cluster of star systems typically located north-east of the galaxy and inaccessible through the regular hyperlane network. The only way to access the L-Cluster is by activating one of the L-Gates found throughout the galaxy. Similar to the deactivated Gateway megastructures found in random star systems, the L-Gates look entirely the same but require much more effort to activate. They can only spawn within a black-hole system, very close to the center.

If a ringworld is built inside the L-Cluster, the uninhabitable sections may gain Nanites deposits. For buildings I add the Target Uplink Computer, Communcations Jammer and Disruption Field Generator; to make sure they won't get away easily, have less shield capacity and are hit as far away from my station as possible. I only had the Tempest once. In order to get the kind of game I want I ended up generating and screening around 30 starts. Last edited by mss ; 28 May, am. Top Bottom Back. Date Posted: 27 May, pm. Yes, the outcome is a disappointment. Don't really understand why Tempest bothered comming with such small force. Everywhere Threads This forum This thread. Each time a ship or fleet enters the factory system, the Dessanu will demand that it leaves within 60 days. The contents of the L-Cluster are determined at game start. These two 20K fleets are also enough to clear one or two systems between two reinforcements.

Originally posted by duane :. Due to the huge number of strike craft that nanite titans carry, own strike craft are more useful at fleet defense than offense. Otherwise, someone's got to open up Pandora's Box. So, big lol. The only ways to check would involve the console which is disabled for Ironman , or by peeking in the save file. With this huge boon comes a condition: your empire is to never enter the L-Cluster's central system and never asks the Dessanu about nanites. Another case of the Fallen Empires seeing other Empires meddling in things far beyond their understanding. Install the app. I had a large lead on an end game victory based on my score.
