Photo by ilovebutter, Flickr. I have seen the replica of the Eiffel Tower that stands tall in my hometown of Las Vegas many times. Maybe this had something to do with my lack of enthusiasm when I saw the real deal in Paris, France. I immediately realized I had been fooled! All I knew was I had seen this exact fountain outside a lavish shopping mall. The casinos put a lot of time, effort, and serious money into recreating these monuments and structures. The replicas are often not the same size, but mirror the details and design. So if you have wandered down the Las Vegas Strip and found yourself making a wish in front of the Trevi Fountain, would you really need to travel all the way to Rome for the real deal? After wandering the muggy streets of Rome under the scorching sun, I finally approached a massive crowd of people, clearly tourists. After swimming my way into the sea of people, I saw it: the real Trevi Fountain. The famous fountain nearly fills the entire piazza. You cannot help but be instantly overwhelmed yet fascinated.

The restaurant provides a tasteful venue for wedding receptions, rehearsal parties and other special gatherings.

Inside, Trevi is filled with a warm, luminescent glow of a striking central chandelier. Its iridescent, textured glasswork pairs well with the smooth mid-century modern lines of the restaurant's chairs and tables. Trevi offers a number of salads, offering a wider selection than in many Italian establishments. The Tuscan tuna salad is full of imported tuna meat, cannelloni beans, kalamata olives and sun-dried tomatoes. The Italian chopped salad is a Mediterranean take on the chef salad - it features chicken, salami, cheeses, garbanzo beans and red onion. And the light, basic field greens and balsamic dressing salad matches perfectly with Trevi's house minestrone soup. Trevi offers an all-Italy, non-regional style menu, and there are numerous American-Italian influences, too. Of course this means time-honored standbys like spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, cheese ravioli, and clams linguini. They are all savory and hearty choices.
