This week junior players have gathered from 15 remote outer islands on the Torres Strait to compete in Queensland's largest junior rugby league carnival — Townsville's Laurie Spina Shield. For the past two months the unders Strait Stars have trained weekly in smaller groups, many travelling there from even more remote islands by boat.
