There is a path you can take down some stairs on the Bridge of Fire that, if you continue descending, you can kick the ladder down and access the bonfire from above.

If you recall, there was a locked door leading into a tower at the beginning of the bridge. Use your newly acquired Basement Key to unlock it. Turn right and head up the tall staircase. Opening the door at the top creates a shortcut between here the Lower Undead Burg and the first bonfire you lit in the Upper Undead Burg. Rest at that fire, then return here and back down the steps. As you descend the next set of stairs into the village area, three dogs will attack you. Leave the steps, turn right and head down the alley. Make sure to roll around and break the barrels in this room for some nice loot. Now continue in the other direction through the village. Beware of assassins as you proceed. In certain stances they can riposte, and their blades are coated with poison. Make sure to check every open door for loot as you proceed. Instead of going through the fog, head down the stairs to the right of the fog door. Follow this path until you hit a raised door on your left.

When you first arrive at the Undead Burg you'll be on a raised precipice where three Hollow Warriors are currently hanging out. Dispatch the first two one by one then proceed around the corner to take out the firebomber. Watch out for a further Warrior hiding out in the building to the left - he's a sneaky one and will try to ambush you. Once they're dead, double back to where you entered. Face towards where you just killed the enemies and you should spot some highly suspicious barrels. Attack these barrels with your weapon and you'll break open a new route, so drop off the building to a ledge where you'll find a Large Soul of a Lost Undead. There's nowhere to go from here but down, so drop off the building and be prepared to fight two Hollows who will leap over the walls to try and kill you.
