A soul-stirring novel about what we choose to keep from our past, and what we choose to leave behind. Olivia McAfee knows what it feels like to start over. Her picture-perfect life—living in Boston, married to a brilliant cardiothoracic surgeon, raising a beautiful son, Asher—was upended when her husband revealed a darker side. She never imagined she would end up back in her sleepy New Hampshire hometown, living in the house she grew up in, and taking over her father's beekeeping business. Lily Campanello is familiar with do-overs, too.

The Tenth Circle. I could feel and relive her past with her. And for just a short while, these new beginnings are exactly what Olivia and Lily need. Lily and Asher meet, and Lily is happy, but their relationship has its ups and downs and is not always pleasant. Asher may not have grown up in a household with two parents, but the one he has would fight to the death for him. I enjoyed it, even if I did think it a bit drawn out. When Lily runs into Atlas Corrigan, a childhood friend who also came from an abusive family, she hopes their friendship can blossom into love. Way too long. Review soon….. Lily begins to have trust issues with Asher due to the gradual appearance of some uncharacteristic and harmful behaviour. This read like a "very Special" episode from an 80's sitcom. I think even the writing style is unique to each story. We were visiting my parents that weekend because I knew, viscerally, that Braden Fields was the one. I tuck the journal under a fold of the linens, pick up the pair of socks, and close the door of the bedroom behind me. My beekeeping net became a funeral veil. Asher is accused of killing her.
