On Heroic difficulty, the final boss Icecrown Citadel and the Firelands as well as any hidden boss will not spawn unless all prior bosses in the raid have been defeated on Heroic difficulty. Killing any prior boss on Normal and then switching to Heroic will cause the final or hidden boss to not spawn. If this happens, your raid lockout cannot be reset - you'll need to kill the end boss on Normal difficulty, and try again next week for any hidden bosses. Note that raid difficulty cannot be switched inside the instance, so you'll want to double-check you have your raid size and difficulty settings correct before you zone in. Skip to Main Content. How do I put out the runes without the required item? Do the waterlords still exist in shadowlands? Do I not need an item anymore? Just go to Molten Core, kill the first 8 bosses, Majordomo, and then Ragnaros. Defeat him, and then you can fight Ragnaros. Maybe I missed a boss or something?
