Mandokir
We have moved to Warcraft Wiki. Click here for information and the new URL. Bloodlord Mandokir was a powerful jungle troll and leader of the Gurubashi tribe. Bloodlord Mandokir served the evil god Hakkar the Soulflayer in Zul'Gurub along with the rest of his tribe. However, the worshippers of Hakkar were defeated, and Mandokir was tortured by the Bloodscalp tribe of trolls [3] and eventually died. It was thought that his evil had died with him Years later Ohgan'aka , the daughter of Ohgan, retrieved Mandokir's skull from a skull pile at Bal'lal Ruins. This find set off a series of events that led to his resurrection in the body of the Bloodscalp chieftain Gan'zulah , the one that had presided over the desecration of Mandokir's body. Mandokir returned with Ohgan'aka to Zul'Gurub, where he and the shade of Jin'do the Hexxer began preparing for the city's rebirth and their god's return. After the Zandalari pledge to aid Gurubashi reach their former greatness, the Gurubashi begin attacking Stranglethorn. It appears, after his resurrection, that while he is one of the Tribe's leaders, the Gurubashi are led by Jin'do primarily.
Also, I have attempted this on a Mandokir spec'd with Cauterize, unfortunately it doesn't prevent you from dying.

Forgot your password? Bloodlord Mandokir is the first optional boss in Zul'Gurub, and can be found in the south-east corner of the raid. This is one of the more unique fights in the instance, and you can expect at least a few people to die to the Bloodlord's gaze! Start the fight by having your two off-tanks pull the raptor away from the boss, swapping at stacks of the bleed he puts on the tanks. There are two main strategies for doing this fight, either killing the raptor at the start or leaving it alive. If you kill the raptor, it frees up your off-tanks, but the boss becomes much stronger and enrages for a full minute. If you are doing Zul'Gurub with a relatively lower gear level, this is probably the better strategy. If you feel confident however, you can instead just burn the boss, significantly shortening the fight, but can be slightly more risky, since you will not have off-tanks to help with the boss.

When the raptor becomes targetable, all DPS should switch from Mandokir to Ohgan and kill him ASAP, because if he's allowed to kill the spirits, people will not be able to resurrect. You have angered him for the last time and he will do horrible things to you because of it. We decided to move the bloodlord closer to the AFK person and have everyone gather around the bloodlord just outside of his melee range. Here was our strategy. He won't decapitate you if your character has aggro. Every healer should be on the main tank, and the tank should be prepared to make last-minute saves, such as Shield Wall. So we tried this way. Bloodlord Mandokir will spin around and after three seconds, hit anyone within 5 yards of him. Comment by Allakhazam We dropped him the other day 2nd try, first encounter he dropped the Halberd of Smiting, and bloodrenched grips. Remember to crowd him just outside of his melee range and you will see very minimal charging and be successful at killing him every 3 days. Level 90 Brewmaster Monk - Already mentioned on previous comments on what to do.

Ghosts will stand ready to resurrect players should they die. Screw Bloodlord and his crap drops, we will farm BWL since its much easier thank you. I only did about 90k average dps. EDIT: As of 5. What my group does is throws all the healing onto the MT for the enraged period - anyone runs OOM they can just suicide. Comment by Sargess Soloed as 90 enhance with cd stacking, just blowing it up in that 10 seconds. Comment by Thottbot We were fighting him about 3 days before Halloween at the time. If that happens he will simply vanish and won't be summoned again making the trivial fight so much easier.. By the way, our loot was Blooddrenched Grips Fri Sep 16 Comment by Allakhazam Yup we noticed that too. Comment by Allakhazam The easiest way is to stand on the wall. May be it is not needed to kill the add, and then it is faster. Comment by elionor word of warning to all you dks do not pop army for this he will kill you. Dropped Bloodlord's Defender went to warrior and Hakkari Loa Cloak went to me - use for my healdin set.
