Each year the sight of hundreds of Santas running and walking 5km 3 miles around the streets of Marlow has provided the town with a glorious spectacle which kicks off the festive season. The Rotary Clubs of Marlow are pleased to announce that they are now close to full capacity for entries to the Marlow Santas Fun Run , taking place Sunday 4th December. At MyMarlow we are as excited as ever to be covering and participating in the event again! One Can Trust the well-known local foodbank is already confirmed as a lead charity for the event. They particularly welcome tinned goods meat meals and meat pies, fish, cooking sauces, UHT milk and mixed veg and loo rolls. As there will be around participants, and perhaps to spectators, there will inevitably some inconvenience to local residents.

The main event, organised by the Rotary Clubs of Marlow takes place at 9. This allows maximum flexibility and will perhaps help those who are uncomfortable with larger gatherings. The organisers have around Santa suits in stock — all ready to be distributed in late November, and this year all children aged 5 and over will receive a Santa Suit subject to availability. There are some changes to allow entrants to raise even more funds! This year we aim to celebrate not only a partial return to normality — but also recognise the fact that we all have our own preferences as to how we deal with the continuing Covid risk.
