At some point he was captured and seemingly killed by the Lord Ruler, but it was later revealed that he was still alive, having been transformed into a Steel Inquisitor. Before becoming an Inquisitor, Marsh was stern and determined, earning him the name "Ironeyes" as a result of his piercing gaze.

But I do also think, Marsh will be only a background character. Yes, you're right. Ruin reasserted his control, eventually sending Marsh to the Battle of Hathsin , where he would behead an exhausted Elend in Ruin's rage - who had burned through all of his metals, including the secret atium stash within the Trustwarren. Though his hands still moved as ordered, his mind rebelled. Just dropping that relationship would be a mistake, especially since both brothers are still alive, unlike most characters from Era 1. Ironically, Ruin is curbing his brutality, or so he seems to think, at least. I flirted with putting more of these in, but decided that it would grow too obvious and too heavy-handed if I emphasized it that much. He has no desire to keep living for his own sake, but continues to do so as penance for his role in the destruction of the world, in order to try and do good, in order to make up for it. I read the first two paragraphs thinking "wait, do we know Moash is immortal now? However, at this moment in time, Kelsier is different, and his rebellion is different. RAFO… Good question. They gave him no option. It relates to Clubs and his Allomantic abilities, which is why this scene made me think of it. Brandon Sanderson No. He knows he has been asking too many questions, and that they have sent at least one message to the corrupt obligator who was supposedly training him as an acolyte. His mind was also dull in this state. Questioner Are we gonna see any more Marsh in the future? Unfortunately, the Lord Ruler's power doesn't come only from Hemalurgy, but from other things as well. I've got it somewhere. He never understood how far his infiltration would take him, or what it would end up costing him.
