When we think of channels the average citizen can use to express political opinions in Singapore, newspaper forums and blog posts come to mind. When concerned citizens comment or criticize a political issue, the most popular forms of virtual discourse they use tend to be textual in nature, such as the blog entry or viral Facebook post. However, these tools might not be very successful in gaining an audience and by extension, influence. With the exception of those highly interested in socio-politics, casual viewers are unlikely to have the attention span or motivation to read extended political opinion pieces from start to end.
