This was an amazing concoction of Casco Viejo chilli-infused reposado tequila, cherry brandy, crushed strawberries, diced red chilli and lime. The Mestizo staff are charming and helpful. Several of them are Mexican and all of them can steer you through what will likely be an unfamiliar menu.

Halal Mexican restaurants are not the easiest to come by. One of the original Mexican restaurants in London to start catering halal options ought to be Mestizo Restaurant in Euston. It was our very first restaurant visit coming out of the lockdown when restaurants were finally allowed to reopen for table service. Perhaps the excitement of finally dining out again played a part but we were hugely impressed with the food at Mestizo. It was a great insight into Mexican cuisine and we thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the meal.

How our dogs behave is their certification according to the law. This needs to be understood and used both for real service dogs and against fakes. I love Mexican food, and yet this is the first time in years I've come away from a Mexican restaurant thinking "wow! The food here is excellent, tasting The restaurant looked great too, however it is not that big which caused a few issues: - Firstly, you should tell customers when they first sit down if you need the table back within 2 hours rather than waiting till the end and then repeatedly pestering them in the final 15 minutes.
