After many years, Takeda completed his training with Scorpion and, at the urging of both his mentor and his father who returned for him, joined a new team formed by the Special Forces dedicated to protecting Earthrealm.

As Egc pointed out, Takeda has good mix-ups and great reach, but has slow normals, which can be a problem. However, his F3 is a very good attack to get off some quick and easy damage, and in his Shirai Ryu variation, he has a BF1 attack which hits quite fast as well as an aerial DB1 attack which hits overhead, and can really screw with your opponent's mind. Takashi Takeda is a character in Mortal Kombat X. He was announced via the February 27th Story Trailer. Takashi is the son of series regular, Kenshi. Trained in the ways of the Shirai Ryu, under the tutelage of Hanzo Hasashi, also known as Scorpion , Takeda is adept at using swords and whips in battle. Takeda was trained by Scorpion and the Shirai Ryu so many of his attacks will remind you of Scorpion, especially if you use the Shirai Ryu variation. However, no matter which variation you choose, Takeda is a long-range fighter first and foremost. Use combos and throws to knock the opponent away and then continue to assault them from a distance. Notation Key. You can throw the Kunai in one of three locations. The default notation throws it about mid-screen. If you press Back immediately after the notation the Kunai lands right in front of Takeda, and if you press Forward the Kunai travels the length of the screen.
