UAFS has designed the ROAR First-Year Advising Center in collaboration with all college deans and departments on campus, with seven professional advisors who are dedicated to helping you make a smooth transition from high school to college Through the development of Relationships, intentional Outreach, excellent Advising, and the connection to appropriate Resources, we are committed to assisting YOU! When you become a Lion you join an unmatched tradition of leadership and excellence here in The Fort. As a member of the Lion Pride I will: Uphold the policies and procedures listed in the UAFS student handbook by promoting academic and personal integrity. Ask for help when needed and tackle obstacles with a sense of confidence and resilience. Respect the dignity of those around me and encourage my fellow Lions. The ROAR advocates for and serves students and their supporters by building a holistic foundation, creating opportunities, and preparing them to be successful both at UAFS and within professional communities. The ROAR will be a catalyst for fostering critical thinking, student success, and individual independence. All students will be advised in the ROAR for their first two semesters or until they have earned 24 hours After you have completed 24 hours post high school, you will be referred to your respective college UAFS has three colleges and one school which are listed to the left When you move into your college for advising, you will be assigned to a faculty advisor who is an expert in your desired field. These courses are designed to give you a broad set of critical and analytical skills as well as general exposure to a variety of academic fields. Specific majors may require students to take higher level or stipulated courses in any area. See degree plan notes. In-person payments by cash or check can be made between 8 a. Monday through Thursday and 9 a. Students can pay their balance by credit card, debit card, or e-check through UAFS's Online Business Center portal, which can be found on the homepage of your My. UAFS account. Students may also authorize others to access their account information and pay their balance through the Online Business Center. If you would like to authorize a family member or third party to make payments on your behalf, you must first give them access to your account. If you would like to make a credit card or e-check payment, please follow these instructions. The University of Arkansas - Fort Smith has never really fit the mold of a typical university — and we've never really wanted to.
