Los Angeles-based artist Nick Runge uses the watercolor technique to make portraits of people and skeletons in a unique style, which includes elements of abstraction and hints of realism. The faces painted by Nick are modelled on simple, decisive but at the same time detailed strokes, which convey the mood of the characters with great credibility, without ever getting too close to realism itself.
