The staff was pretty good, but there was one staff member that I almost wrote a complaint about because he snapped at me, and it was inappropriate. They had some running water issues sometimes, and then the bathroom was a little bit dirtier than where she is now. Oak Manor Senior Living Community is my number one choice. I'm very pleased. I liked so many things. I liked that it's a villa, that it's not in a building the ones I looked at. Through all of this there was a bit of stress, which could have been avoided. Oak Manor was very homey and had very interactive and awesome staff. It seemed dirty, musty, and dark. Everyone has been helpful. I'm sure it was beautiful in its day. They come to you as soon as you put your bell on to make the light come on. They showed us a two-bedroom and two-bath villa, which was very nice. There's happy hour, bingo, exercises, games, all the basics, cards, little things you can get on your own like coloring books, crayons, pencils, and other fun activities. They will take you for breakfast, lunch, and dinner up at the main place where they have the food. In the midst of dealing with a dying family member, we were forced to turn away rehab daily and send her food tray back each meal to get the soft foods promised. They were very pleasant and provided a lot of information. It looks fine though. I love it here like a cottage on the beach.
