Had previously had heads off to replace leaking head gasket, resurfaced valves and checked push rods and valves, so knew they were good. Replaced MAP, no change. Replaced plugs and wiring harness, no change, checked fuel pressure, good. Finally after much scratching of both ends, bit bullet and decided to change MDS solenoids.
If the problem persists, take the injector you pulled out of 1 and put it in 2.
