Plant tuner monsters
Like other summoning mechanics before them, Synchros followed a familiar pattern of 'play weak cards to summon stronger ones. As time went on Tuners evolved into stronger standalone cards. Other Tuners were adapted to their roles as Synchro materials by summoning themselves, or other cards, from the hand, deck, or graveyard. Plaguespreader Zombie and Spore turned the graveyard into a resource pile for Tuners, and cards like Debris Dragon and Deep Sea Diva summoned their own materials from out of the deck and graveyard. Most of the best Tuners in the game fall into this category: cards that summon themselves, or summon additional materials for you to work with. Some of the absolute best Tuners in the game can even do both. Tuners have been around for fourteen years now, so any list of the best Tuners of all time is naturally going to miss a handful here and there. I've decided to narrow down the selection just a bit by exclusively focusing on Main Deck Tuners. I think I could also get away with ignoring Tuners that aren't exactly being played as Synchro materials, but that might be limiting the scope of this article too much. With that said, here's my list of the best Tuner monsters in Yu-Gi-Oh, ever. About half of the themed monsters on this list are actually used in Synchro Summons consistently, while the other half are played for other interactions. Infernoid Decatron does an amazing job of serving both roles: it's a walking Foolish Burial for your key Infernoid monsters, a high-utility Normal Summon that can copy the effects of ten different monsters, and a Tuner with the ability to take on any Level you choose. The end result is a monster that's flexible for Synchro Summons, has an aggressive effect, and typically a graveyard-controlling Quick Effect. Decatron really does it all, and it's one of the reasons why Infernoids were so powerful between and Erik Christensen took full advantage of Decatron's power to win YCS Dallas in , and Infernoids remained a potent Championship and Regional-level strategy for years after.
If this card is sent to the Graveyard for a Synchro Summon: Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; that target loses ATK, plant tuner monsters. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can add 1 Level 3 or lower Beast-Type monster from your deck to your hand.
Tuner monster [Notes 2]. They are required for the Synchro Summon of a Synchro Monster. Normal , Ritual , Fusion , Effect , Pendulum , and Synchro Monsters themselves can all be Tuner monsters, although some card effects can treat non-Tuner monsters as Tuners. To perform a Synchro Summon, the player sends monsters they control including a Tuner monster to the Graveyard whose total Level is exactly equal to that of a Synchro Monster in their Extra Deck, then they Synchro Summon that Synchro Monster. Usually, Synchro Summons require exactly 1 Tuner monster, but some Synchro Monsters allow or require multiple Tuner monsters referred to as Double Tuning.

Galaxy Serpent Light Dragon 2 0 Your hopes and dreams will be refreshed if you catch a glimpse of this rare creature in the evening twilight, soaring in the Sea of Stars. If this card is destroyed by battle, select 1 card in your opponent's Graveyard and remove it from play.

During each of your Stand by Phases, you can send 1 Level 3 or lower monster from your Deck to your Graveyard. You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to select 1 face-up "Fabled" monster you control. How to Play. Its effects are negated. Once per Chain, during your opponent's Main Phase, you can Quick Effect : Immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon using this card you control. Once per turn, that Synchro Monster cannot be destroyed by battle. If you have 3 or more "Laval" monsters with different names in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. While you control no other monsters, this card cannot be destroyed by card effects. Flip Gemini Union Spirit Toon. And if your opponent does manage to destroy this card by battle on their turn, you get a free draw from it anyway.
