On Thursday, the Ministry of Transportation announced that the Track My Plow site — a trial project being tested this winter — has expanded to parts of eastern Ontario. The site tracks snowplows on provincial highways, allowing visitors to see where the nearest plow is, and where it's been. Track My Plow had previously been available only in parts of southern Ontario, but on Thursday the site expanded to the areas of Kingston West and Bancroft — large swaths of the province that include parts of Renfrew, Lennox and Addington, Frontenac and Lanark counties in eastern Ontario. The Kingston West area has 26 pieces of equipment now on view, said the ministry, while the Bancroft area has The site does not display municipal snowplows, but if you live in Ottawa, never fear: the city has its own mapping tool.
