Berries are a special category of consumable item, originally introduced in Generation II. Berries can be obtained by shaking the Berry Trees that you see all over Galar, including many in the Wild Area. When you interact with a Berry Tree your trainer will shake the tree causing Berries to fall on the ground , and you can continue to shake the tree to get more Berries. However if you shake the tree too many times a Pokemon will drop down and battle you, and take most of the Berries. You can tell when the Pokemon is going to drop down by paying attention to the intensity of the tree's rustling.
