Both were tasty but the traditional was my preference. Forget the names of the vendors. Burgers n' Fries Forever 6. I had that same poutine at the beginning of February when it was the poutine week special. I found the chicken to be completely un-spicy to the point of being bland. The fried part fell right off the meat, and the lack of spice coupled with the white gravy made for a filling but unsatisfying meal. It's designed to be a good combination but they really need to figure out what real hot chicken tastes like before releasing it to the public. Although, perhaps the title "Not Hot Poutine" makes more sense now? It makes no sense.

Pong's Poutine 6. I think the kimchi is better than it used to be. As I'm not personally a fan of slow-cooker style pulled pork, it's hard for me to love this dish but hey it's poutine! Did I need a sandwich slathered in piping hot gravy? Did I still order it? After a short wait in their sitting area with picnic tables and umbrellas, we soon had our hefty containers of food in hand. My sandwich was just about everything you could want from a hot chicken sammy — a flavourful, generous portion of chicken gravy, lots of moist and tender chicken, and soft white bread to absorb all that gravy goodness.

They are great about updating it. October Pong's poutine is a humble chip stand with bold flavours and great portions. If you're tired of your local chips and gravy truck, head over to Pong's for some unique combinations in their ever changing daily specials. Fresh ideas and fresh ingredients make this a unique destination for the country's national dish. Do note that this restaurant is seasonal and closes during the winter, so be sure to rush over before the cold sets in.

I really love their poutine. Pro moves! Show More. Really and truly! There's always just the right amount of gravy for those who like lots of gravy, they offer FREE extra gravy on poutine. This works out well for the dishes that pile the ingredients on top of the poutine, but not so well for just plain ol' poutine. The fries, cheese, gravy ratio was perfect and the fries were nice and crisp. Prices are good here. Just the right thickness that when they're cooked they get nice and brown on the ends and have a good crunch. I will definitely be back to try some other items on the menu and to try the poutine again!

With a slightly spicy and not too sweet sauce, this was one of the nicer General Tso's chickens I've encountered. The portion of fries was quite plentiful. I won't gush quite so much as gottalovefood did, but the fries, cheese curds, and gravy are all as they should be. Epic and delicious! Both were tasty but the traditional was my preference. Guess I just have to get the large next time! She is super focused on eating well and won't be pursuing any kind of poutine again. There seemed to be more there as well. Went to Taters with the family today at lunch after reeding the positive reviews on OF. Forgot to mention this was at Patty's Pub.
