The Lord is the stronghold of my life- of whom shall I be afraid? The Lord is the stronghold Or refuge of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? So, with him on my side I'm fearless, afraid of no one and nothing. When all hell breaks loose, I'm collected and cool. I'll contemplate his beauty; I'll study at his feet. The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident. He will place me out of reach on a high rock. The Lord, who is the believer's light, is the strength of his life; not only by whom, but in whom he lives and moves. In God let us strengthen ourselves. The gracious presence of God, his power, his promise, his readiness to hear prayer, the witness of his Spirit in the hearts of his people; these are the secret of his tabernacle, and in these the saints find cause for that holy security and peace of mind in which they dwell at ease. The psalmist prays for constant communion with God in holy ordinances. All God's children desire to dwell in their Father's house.
